Day 26 Wall Art

houzz

Shoe boxes wrapped in fabric. Or scrapbook paper. Or book pages. Or maps.  Or wrapping paper.  It really, really doesn’t have to cost much to have something pretty on your walls.

  1. So cool, I would never have even thought to use something I know I have tons of!! This is a great budget friendly project, and I have just the space above a certain dresser that is screaming for attention! Thanks for sharing!

I love this one. I am living at my in-laws’ house right now – so I have nothing on my walls. Drives me nuts. This gives me ideas to work around $ and no nail limitations….

  3. I love fabric and wrapping paper so much. I just like designs, I guess. And I like the idea of being able to switch them out easily. A great way to add color on the walls!

  4. So simple it’s insane! Inspiring and easy to change anytime one wishes too….seasonal or just want a change in color. Fabulous project and a reason to buy new shoes! ((just kidding))

I really needed to read that and be reminded…especially since I’ve been lamenting the lack of pretty things on my walls.

  10. wonderful idea!!! I will have to try it out.
I haven’t been to your blog since you changed it. Looks great!

Love this! I have a dilemma recently where I needed a large piece of art to cover a long open wall. I didn’t have money in the budget for something large so I bought nine cheapy frames at Walmart ($2/frame) and framed pieces of scrapbook paper. I hung them on the wall in a grid. It was perfect. Filled the space with color and minimal money left my (or my husband’s!) wallet.

  15. Carla says:

Why couldn’t I think of that? Geez. It’s not like I don’t collect fabric. As soon as we start hanging pictures in the new house I’m going to try this in a couple of rooms. Thanks for the idea. I’ll post a picture as soon as it happens. I can’t wait to try.
