31 Days of Change :: Are You In?

Oh mercyness.

October is almost here and I have yet to write even ONE post for my 31 Days for this year.  How about you?  Remember how we invited everyone to join in the fun, instead of just the 8 of us girls from last year writing for 31 days we wanted the world to suffer  have fun with us.

So, it’s not to late to decide to join in committing to writing on one topic, every day during the month of October.  It can be ANYTHING, really ANYTHING.  Wondering what the 8 of us from last year are writing about this year?

Jen - 31 Days to Balancing Both Beauty and a Budget

Jessica – 31 Days of Memory Keeping

Melissa: – 31 Days: Inspired Holidays

Sandy – 31 Days of Warm Connections

Darcy: 31 Days of Photo Tips

Emily: 31 Days to Change the World

Emily: 31 Days of the Little Things

Nester – 31 Days of Charming Imperfection

October 1st we’ll have a linky party where you can link up to the intro/first day post of your series.  Feel free to make yourself a cute button and choose any topic that you are passionate about.

I thought today would be a fun time to have a little conversation in the comments–you can share your topic, ask questions, and just be chatty.  I’ll monitor the comments every now and then and hey, feel free to do the same and if you know the answer to a question go ahead reply to someone in the comments~if I see the same question come up multiple times  I’ll try to address it in a post next week.  Here’s the previous post about 31 days, be sure to read it first if you have questions–it may answer them.

Want to see my posts from last year for ideas?  You can find them all here.

So, are you joining in?  What’s your topic?

  1. I love this idea but the thought of committing to 31 days of blog posts scares me to death, lol! If I join, I think I would 31 days of books (books I’ve read or want to read or that are my favorites- never have enough time to do all the reading that I would like to do) OR 31 days to getting fit with your kids (something I’ve been thinking about for a while and wanting to do). Which would ya’ll prefer?

  2. I am excited about taking up the challenge of posting 31 days in a row. Don’t know if I can do it but Im going to try!I have chosen “31 days of blue and white inspiration”

  3. So I’m totally late to this party, but I think I want to participate in the challenge. I’ve been toying with the idea of articulating everything for which I’m grateful – big stuff, little stuff. So, I’m going to committ to “31 days of gratitude,” where I will attempt to document the awesomeness (and maybe not-so-awesomeness) that I see in my life.

  4. I would love to join in. My topic will be… ’31 Days of Infinite Possibilities’. It’s all about creating the life that you want… and I want. I’ll share quotes, rituals, and routines that I find comfort in as I journey toward creating exactly what my heart desires. What do y’all think?

  5. I’m going to try to do 31 days of homemade gifts. I’m trying to make my Christmas gifts this year so it will help me get my ideas! Hopefully I can do it…October is a busy month for me!

  6. I would love to join in. How about 31 days of Post-It Praise?

I’m trying to figure out how to do this whole linky thing. I’m so not with it…

  7. Like Lisa/Mommy Mo, the thought of blogging for 31 days seems more than a bit daunting. Why? What could I possible say/offer for 31 days? Don’t I already have enough on my plate already? Am I already not doing a handful of things well? I have, however, been wanting to write more—and more often. Plus, a word that keeps creeping into my life lately is “Intentional”.

I want to learn to be intentional. Intentional about my walk with the Lord. Intentional about my marriage. Intentional about homeschooling my three wild monkeys. Intentional about raising God-loving, God-knowing, God-fearing, God-inspired little people. Intentional about cleaning my pig sty home and making it pretty on a tight budget. Intentional about being organized. Intentional about my crafting. Intentional about being thankful/grateful for what I have and where I am. Intentionally living—fully, present—each day as it comes.

So…I guess I “found” my topic. Fear—be gone! I am moving forward—intentionally—and am going to take this challenge.

  8. I’m stressed about committing to a topic! It will either be 31 days of cooking real meals (something I’ve been terrible at lately!) or 31 days of Seeing the Details, meaning I need to pay attention to small areas of my house that don’t generally enter my line of vision.

  9. LOVE this idea!! I am going to do 31 Days of Making Your Family Feel Special. I love being a homeschooling mom and DO things for my family all day long. But sometimes stress and exhaustion takes away “specialness” and turns it into obligation. I am challenging myself to make my family feel special everyday.

  10. I just found this challenge (and your blog!) today & would LOVE to participate! I can think of so many topics I’d like to pursue. I am in the middle of moving & planning, though, as I am getting married NEXT WEEKEND!! Aaaaahhhhhh!!! If I do this, I will have to pick a very simple and easy topic since I will be gone for a week and a half. Hmmmmmmm…..

  11. I love the idea of writing on one topic for 31days. Like others have said, it does seem a bit daunting, but I’m totally with Lisa when she said she wants to start living a more “intentional” life. I wonder what I could possibly offer that others would want to read for 31 days straight! BUT, I have been wanting to start taking my blog more seriously and really focusing on moving forward. Thanks for the inspiration…I’m going to go start thinking now…

  12. Ok, I’m in!! I’m nervous…I haven’t blogged since February, and I’ve NEVER blogged for 31 days in a row!!! I think I can, I think I can!!! I’m thinking my topic is going to be Life with a 5 year Old. My baby just started Kindergarten and I’m trying to balance this work, school, marriage, me time, and spending time with thet most important person in the world, and not mess it or her up!!! LOL!!!! She’s always an adventure….. Now off to figure out how to make a button!!!

  13. ok … I’m in …. I have a very new blog about my family and life … I want to commit more to a blog … so I am taking this challenge …. 31 days of the little things in life …. I *think* I made a button! lol …. we will see if it works :)

  14. I think I have decided to try this. It is a great idea. I think I am going to post 31 days of Finding Inspiration & Gratitude.

  15. Yes! I’m in. So many have said that they have never blogged for 31 straight days. Well, I’ve never blogged for even one day — nor do I know how to make a button or how to do that “linky” thingy. In derence to my age, my topic will be 31 Days of Sweet Memories . . .

  16. 31 days of telling your story. i’m in.

  17. 31 days of blessings. As the mug on my desk says, God blesses every day, it’s up to you to see it. I will blog about those blessings each day, and then I will know that I have seen them.

  18. It’s a daunting adventure but I’m in. I’ll post about 31 Days to Hosting a Successful Blog Party and when I completed 31 posts about this topic, I’ll do a happy dance and celebrate.

31 days of getting from point A to point Be. This is not going to be easy. Then again nothing worth anything ever is.

  20. 31 day of Family Fun. We just had my daughter, her husband and 6year old move to NC and they will live with us during the upcoming months. We just moved in June to be nearer to my other daughter and family. Also, my cousins and brothers family are near by. So, I will trying to follow words of wisdon of living the life I want by being present to the life I have. I have wished for this for a long time! Thank you so much for inviting us all!

  21. I want to participate please. Is there a button for us to use?
I will be doing 31 Days of Tracking Spending.
I am choosing this because my husband and I are having a hard time keeping track of where all the money is going to. I want him to realize that all the little things that we buy really add up!
We got married July 30, but we bought our home in March, so I’ve been struggling months trying to get him to understand.
Please let me know on the button…and also, where is the linky? Thanks!

This is very scary but, I’m going to commit to 31 days of allowing myself to believe in me.So, I will give myself and other moms and grandmoms praise each day. And for me believe I’m I deserve it.

  23. I have been hesitant to join. Second guessing myself, do I have enough time? I am going to do it. I think it is the push I need to get back some ME time. Thanks for the challenge!

  24. 31 days of “Before & After” Got my first post in with 1 minute to spare! I guess I can now officially say I work best under pressure!
Thank you! this should be fun and challenging. At least I will get some projects completed. :)

  25. I had no idea this was going on! Where have I been :) Next time girls but I will enjoy reading yours! I’m in the midst of sharing Marriage posts in honor of my 21 years of marriage so that’s my prayerful focus right now but I hope to link up with you all next time!

    Love and blessings!
    Lisa

  26. I am looking forward to it! I did a practice run in July for 31 days of Nutella Recipes which went pretty well, but we moved at the end of the month and I sort of lost track of things. We do what we can, right? Life will go on. I haven’t decided on a topic yet for October, but I will soon! Thanks for the inspiration!

  27. I am so glad you are hosting 31 days again this year. I’m in and already working on my posts! Last year I didn’t find out about 31 days until the night before, so I had to do a lot of planning in a hurry! But this year I am better prepared, and will be completing a series on “31 Days of God’s Provision – Encouraging Stories from the Bible.” I can’t wait to link up, and see all of the fabulous topics for this year!

  28. I’m in! I’m still working on the exact title but I have the first week of posts written. Can’t wait!!! :)

  29. I am going to do this. 31 Days of Consistent Change. There are some changes around our house that need to take place that sadly just haven’t, my slacking on my blog being one of them. Now to figure out a cute button. I think I can get my friend to help me on that one, though.

  30. I can’t find the link-page to join. My topic is 31 Days to a Stable environment.
