Welcome to the new and improved Nesting Place. I’m glad you are here and just like everything I do in life, this blog doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful or useful~or to go live. Feel free to snoop around. You’ll find lots of beautiful spaces where we will be able to hang out~once the doors are unlocked.
The goddess geniuses Darcy and Daisy are like brilliant contractors~they build and redesign the blog and then I get to move in the furniture. So now the rooms are built but mostly empty and some things are still wonky, things will be tweaked and moved a little over the next week or so. I’ll be working hard to move in the furniture {publish posts I’ve been writing over the past few months} today and over the weekend and of course the coming weeks. Come back as often as you like and thanks for putting up with lots of pretty imperfection as I prepare to introduce Content to Rent, Window MisTreatments and The Nest Files.
It’s beautiful! I love the new box with the Welcome/Posts/Connect/FAQ except that I’m not sure what c2r is and anyone new here might not know what the abbreviations are for.
C2r= Content to Rent. She mentioned it will be up soon, along with other goodies. I can’t wait to start clicking!

I wish I could afford Darcy, b/c she is fabulous…I may have to save all my ad money for the next 3 years, but it would be well worth it!!

I love the new look! Oddly enough, though, sometimes your content column is on the left and sometimes on the right…like it was on the left when I read this post and then when I went to comment, it was on the right.
For the record (and not that it matters an insane amount because I am just one person), I like it better on the left with the sidebar to the right.

Whoa! I did a double-take when I got here this morning. At first I thought I was at the wrong place! Love the fresh new look.
Like Kristen above, I’m curious about why the sidebars switch around when you click on a post. I’ve been noticing this on various other blogs lately, too. Is this the new thing? Is my blog dated now because the sidebar doesn’t move around? I’d better call my blog designer! :-)
no, it’s not supposed to do that, I noticed every now and then it did it on my old blog too. It makes me feel like someone just twirled me around really fast.
changes will come but I forgot to add, both my beautiful geniuses are on a much needed vacation for the weekend & Memorial day, so everyone will have to put up with the temporary wonkieness, broken links, weird positions for a few days.
Here I was imagining all sorts of fancy reasons for it, like maybe people paid more attention if everything quick-moved around when they clicked on things. Ha.
Ok, so apparently, I accidentally made it go backwards like that, if you are in wordpress while writing your post you can scroll down and change the layout of each post. crazy

I enjoy change and think it awakens all of our senses so I am loving your new look. I love the simplicity and the tabbed box on the top left -that keeps everything nice and tidy. Can’t wait to see your other sites and their designs. Congrats on the launches.

I’m looking forward to reading “content to rent.” Can you share tips on making an older ranch house fresh? Thankfully, I have a great view outside. If it were mine, I’d install hardwood floors and paint the walls white. I’m also in a downsizing mode, and itching to get rid of more things, so while adding layers of accessories could disguise things (as you know, in a rental), its not the look or lifestyle I’m desiring. I do love nature-inspired decor … and lots of books!
