  4. Sissy says:

Totally wanted to have a slumber party and have people spend the night and get up and have breakfast and stuff, then I realized it was on a FRIDAY! Argggghhh. A workday. I’m still gonna get up, I think, but I wish it was on a Saturday.

I will have to say that I came across a catalog (sauer.com) that is selling a Princess Diana/Kate ring for $95, 000. Who would buy that expensive of a ring from a CATALOG? Oh my.

  5. Anna Nichols says:

    YES!!!

  6. michele says:

I totally want to! I have to teach school, though!

  7. Heather says:

Yes … {sniff sniff} … I get emotional thinking about how 30 years ago as a 10 year old I got up in the middle of the night with my mom to watch Charles and Diana’s wedding and now I will be getting up with my own 10 year old to watch William and Kate’s wedding :)

  8. Kirstin says:

It’s too early (or late) for me on the West Coast, but I’m happy that they’re finally getting married. I mean, he may be the head of the Church of England one day …

  12. I’ll be watching from my bed until I have to get up . Hubby doesn’t get it but that is okay with me! I think this calls for cinnamon rolls….

  13. susan says:

Absolutely YES! I watched Diana marry, that beautiful soul, partially on the phone with a lupey friend in Montreal; I watched her sons grow into compassionate loving young men, and I sobbed my way thru her funeral with my Montreal bud (thanking Him for phone cards that included Canada@3cents a min). I see her in William, protective&caring of his Kate, and I already have my event alarm set on the phone for 3:30a so I can have the coffee ready in time :D May even break out a gorgeous fussy Derby hat I wound up not getting to wear. :( Fuzzy slippers& tulle&satin? Works4me. :)

  24. jenny says:

I remember watching Princess Di walking down the aisle with that train that didn’t seem to end. I wanted a wedding dress exactly like that. (Luckily I was young and changed my mind by the time it was my turn.) I think I will have to watch part of it, but hadn’t really thought about it much either way until this morning. And, yes, you really are a dork. ha ha

  25. Bridget says:

No. It’s funny. I was all over every piece of news when Prince Charles married Princess Diana. I’m happy for both Prince William and Kate Middleton. But just not into the hoopla this time.

  26. Bonita says:

I will definitely watch some of it. I still remember Diana’s wedding. Can’t believe it’s her son’s turn. Am I old?

Oh my yes!! I simply cannot wait. I love the Royal Family. I am so excited! I am in NC too and have my alarm and DVR set. My 7 year old daughter is getting up w/ me to watch it. I have explained to her that this is a real prince and that Kate will be a real princess (regardless of official title). Just trying to counter act all those annoying Disney Princess books w/ a little reality. Happy watching everyone!!

  37. ladykay says:

Wasn’t planning to, but I’m awake, so I just turned it on.

  38. Rachel says:

    NO WAY.

  39. Jill says:

I realized yesterday when I choked up explaining to my husband why I wanted to watch it live that I REALLY NEEDED to do it and to wake my kids for the event. i think there is something inside us as women that wants to feel like a princess. (Could it be that God loves us so much that we really are princesses and that truth is awakened in us at times like this?) So we all sat (4 boys and 3 girls if you count my hubby and me), half asleep at 2:30am (CA time) as we cuddled on the couch and watched it all unfold. It was magical and unforgettable. I woke up (slowly) this morning feeling slightly ill from lack of sleep and thoroughly grateful that I’d seen it all. The ceremony was beautiful, the music amazing and the bride inspiring. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

  40. Nick says:

Yeah, I watched it. About 24 million of us did here in the UK, apparently. We also had a street party at school, a garden party down the road.
A couple of relatives were at the wedding too :) Sadly, they couldn’t get us all in…
Hope you all enjoyed it Stateside (just think, if you hadn’t been so desperate for your independence, it would be your monarchy too!)

  41. Meredith Uber says:

We were at the beach for a family vacation and I brought my own tiara from home and wore it during the wedding! It was so fun! haha I’m the dork!
