I forgot to tell you, every lamp I talked about and showed you in yesterday’s post was from TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Even the lantern. Even the thrift store lamp had a tag on it from our local Marshalls/Home Goods.  I figured out years ago that they always have the best selection of on trend, ever changing, good priced lamps of various shapes and sizes.  And apparently, many of you have too according to the comment section.

I’m too cheap and lazy to have photoshop.  But I do play around with photobucket.  Here’s my family room.  Everything in color, I bought at either TJ Maxx or Marshalls.  Pillows, dishes, accessories, and of course, lamps.

Here’s how it looks if you aren’t a robot.  And finally, FINALLY, TJ Maxx and Marshalls have decided to partner with Nesting Place and claim their rightful crown as my lamp go to store. Ok, so I wish they would have done this before I spent my own hard earned cash decorating my home but, it’s not like they can read the future.  Plus, it’s not like I can’t always find something within  3.5 seconds of walking through the doors.  Plus, I really didn’t spend all that much cash anyway, the prices are all so reasonable.   So, I was thrilled that  TJ Maxx and Marshalls sent me some giftcards, some for me to shop with, and some for you. {It’s about time TJ Maxx & Marshalls, I’ve been shopping with you for years, lets do this again sometime mkay?}

In my town, all the TJ Maxx and Marshalls have a Home Goods store attached to them.  Meaning, the stores are one big store sometimes with two separate entrances but, when you go in the home section is called Home Goods.  So I hope it’s not too confusing when I say Home Goods but really, it was TJ Maxx or Marshalls to most of you.  And then, I have heard tell of Home Goods stores being all by their lonesome, without a TJ Maxx or Marshalls.  But for me, when I say Home Goods, I usually mean, my TJ Maxx and Marshalls store that has a huge, HUGE home section within it called Home Goods.  I’m glad we had that little talk and have that all cleared up.

Here are just a few of the beauties that I saw while at my local TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores. There was a sofa for $399, lots of uniquly shaped dishes that would look beautiful added to my wall of plates, rugs at super amazing prices and did I mention the lamps?

And because I apparently need a hobby, oh wait, this is my hobby, I took some photos of some of the items I’ve used in my home that are from the dynamic duo of TJ Maxx and Marshalls.  My white dishes–I’ve collected them over time and whenever I’m at TJ Shalls?  MarshMaxx?  What can we call them for short?  Anyway, whenever I’m there and see a white dish I love, especially if it’s a unique shape, I buy it.  That number 3 up there was on sale for 1.99.

I’ve had this wire basket for years, I think I’ve used it in every room of my house.  MarshMaxx. TJ Shalls.

I love this carved piece of wood that currently lives on our mantel.  Again, had it for years, dropped it probably 31 times.  I love that they have the “compare at” on the price tag. You can find things for 60% off the compare at price.

You know I have a weakness for accessories, and when I’m shopping, I follow my heart.  This vase made me gasp.  I grabbed it knowing I’d find a place somewhere.  I don’t really have yellow in my house but I thought it would be fun to add a drop of color like that and the shape and the strips and $14.99! Plus, remember, I now had a gift card.  This is one of the items I just purchased. When I see something that I immediately connect to and I have the cash for it and I LOVE it {doesn’t happen all the time because I’m picky} I buy it.  I don’t worry at all about where I’ll put it.  I figure when I get home I can make it work, that’s the fun part.  And if for some reason I hate it in my house when I get home, I can just return it no harm done.

Glorious.

Awe inspiring.

I must be dreaming.

I found this little beauty pre gift card.  I love it. I need another word for love.  It was $12.99.  I think you are supposed to put a plant in it but I like it with pretend eggs.

I just got this mirror for my office.  I’ve felt like my home is starting to lean too feminine/sissy/fragile so I’ve been on the lookout for a substantial item that isn’t girly for each room.  This mirror was a perfect find.  Oh and the bird lamps I found years ago for $39 each at TJ Maxx. And that white little file stand thing in the middle was also from TJ Maxx, had it for 5 years.  The baskets are probably from Marshalls.  My poor husband.  We should have bought stock in those stores.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls are giving away 4 $25 gift cards.  These are good at either store, and if your Home Goods is the SAME store as TJ Shalls, you can use it there too, but if your Home Goods is a store by itself without a TJ’s or a Shalls, then I don’t think it will work.  Remember out chat up there? I think gift cards are better than cash because if I have cash I buy gas or milk or something boring.  Want to win one?  Leave a comment, tell me your best find at TJ Maxx/Marshalls.

And by all means, if you don’t have a lamp, please use the gift card to get yourself a lamp, it will make your evenings so much nicer.
