I interrupt this series to bring you my current etsy favorites that all happen to be pillows. The problem with me making this etsy link button thing is that everytime I make a new one, all the old posts with my etsy favorites change to this photo. Hate me. Next installment of the Saga of the Painted Cottage Inspiration Where I Contradict Myself In Every Post will hopefully be done tomorrow.
Ugh, this is so frustrating, every time I add a favorite, it changes this image! Ack, if you are just on the edge of your seat wanting to see my pillow favorites, click here.

I am having an Etsy pillow infatuation like nobody’s business! Some of your favs are in my favs, too, and I especially love the Texas pillow!
Technical question: I can’t figure out how to put an Etsy mini on my blog. I’ve tried and tried, but if I make a mini and copy and paste the link onto my blog, what shows up is the link/tag thingy, not the pics.
Of course, I have NO clue how to use HTML, so that might be the problem!
Kelly, you need to click on the HTML mode to insert the code, then hit publish.
and yes, the texas pillow is charming–and they have almost every state!
Ah-ha! I knew it had something to do with my not knowing anything when it comes to HTML! Makes so much sense now!
Thanks!
Kelly :)
Okay, so I tried that – went to WordPress, added a new post, copied the code from Etsy, switched to HTML, pasted it into my post, hit Publish and then: nothing.
Still doing something wrong!
(If you have a moment to help, you can email me if you don’t want to continue this blogging tutorial in your comments!)
ack, it sounds like you did it right.
write anything you are going to write in the NON html part first–then the LAST thing you want to do is add the code after you switch to html, otherwise, since you can’t see it, you could accidentally erase it. Since it’s coded, for some reason, the picture will NOT show up on your blog until you publish.
good times.
I will try again later. The way you explain it, it seems so simple, even *I* could do it!
Thanks for the tips! Will let you know if I finally get it right!
Seriously there is no better place to go to find pillows. Everything you see in stores is so generic, but these are FABULOUS!
I love Etsy! Olive is one of my favorite local stores. And she makes terrific pillows.
Oh, I have SUCH a weakness for pillows. I loved this post. It seems like I never run out of ideas for making new ones. My couch currently boasts two oblong wool plaid pillows, two square pillows made from a bold brown and white vintage floral fabric, and one square pillow made I upcycled from a favorite striped sweater that shrunk. Pretty soon I’m going to have to start giving pillows away when pillow-inspiration hits…or maybe I could sell them on Etsy.
Of the pillows you featured here, I especially love the tan pillow with the white leaf applique (it would fit perfectly with my style of decor!) and the one with the car and tree (I know of a two-year-old son who would love something like that).
This is like looking at the best catalog! Stellar pillows. I always have pillow love!

I need a weiner dog pillow in my house! We have an English bulldog pillow and he is such a good dog.
eeekkk… the porcupine pillow! I told my husband that we needed it, as our dogs have gotten into REAL live porcupines 4 times since Christmas! (not fun when each vet bill is over $200 per dog to pull them out!) I guess that goes with living out in the country. ;)
Oh, I did NOT need to see this post! My pillow addiction is completely OOC. Etsy, here I come . . .
