Photo :: I Should Be Folding Laundry
I told myself I would click on them all but I had to stop and shave off my long gray beard, cut off my curling fingernails, remind my family to call me Mom and get two brain transplants. Y’all made the Tour a HUGE success!
I am determined to try to see all the tours, I’m about half way through, what about you? How far did you get? Did anyone out there visit everyone are you a robot? For now, I’m slowly adding my some of my favorites to The Nest Files, my tumblr blog. There are already a few pages of photos and links there for you to click on what catches your eye. Or eyes if you have two.

I’ve been working on them all week – they’re AMAZING! Thanks again for hosting!
I’m not anywhere close to having visited all the links.
Just wanted to mention that this post is showing up untitled in your feed.
whoops! that’s because it is untitled.
clever name anyone?
Done that many times before myself! lol
I am determined to go through them all AND leave comments so I have set myself a deadline: need to be finished before 2010. Probably will still be clicking 2 minutes before midnight ;-)
Thanks again for hosting AND for taking the time to add some to your Tumblr. :)
I am so excited to continue to go through these links as Christmas approaches. I can just see myself all bundled up after the kids go to bed the night before Christmas Eve and feeling the love and joy that so many others have displayed in their home. I CAN’T WAIT.
It has been such a treat to see all the wonderful decorating ideas. I have looked at many posts but have many more to go. Maybe I will be done by next Christmas and can just start all over again! Thanks for hosting!
I am picing a few from the top and going to through!
May take me till March but I hope to visit them all!
I am finding some awesome blogs this way!
thank goodness you are compiling some favorites because I don’t even know where to begin!
I can’t believe there are over 1,000 people linked up! I looked at as many as I could they are all so pretty.
I can’t believe how successful it was. OK, so I can believe it!! Nester you are so amazing :)
muah!
WOW! What a fun party! We are amazed at the entries and had so much fun!! Thanks for hosting:)!
~Shanty Sisters
I’ve been slowly clicking through-it’s been fun to peek into everyone’s view of Christmas. Thanks for hosting this!
Congratulations on such a successful (and fun!) tour! Thanks for adding my Scrabble letters to your Nest Files!
I have been trying to visit as many as I can. I was shocked of all the bloggers who joined. YEAH!! Of course, the other day hubby came home and there was no dinner for him to eat before he went to work out, the laundry wasn’t done, and the ironing was way behind. How can you explain that you were visiting some of the most beautiful Christmas homes right in your living room? Now~does he really need food and clean pants. LOL
Thanks for hosting this great tour.
Ruth
I have barely had a minute all week to sit down, but I will do it while I’m on vacation next week. The ones I’ve looked at have been absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I need to bookmark some ideas for next year.
I had to limit myself on a daily basis to how many places I would visit, but I have left comments at all the places I’ve visited to let people know I stopped by. I love events like this. Esp. Christmas ones!!
Thank you for hosting!
I’m slowly (but surely) clicking my way through. I hope to finish before my birthday in February ;D
There were so many!! I still plan to make the rounds to a few more.
And I learned that there’s nothing like good photography. And my pictures are NOTHING like good photography. ;)
Seriously- the picture quality makes the world of difference. And I have a laundry list of projects for next Christmas that I probably need to get started on right away if I want to finish them all.
Number 1? Take a photgraphy class.
Sturgmom, I totally agree about the photography, I find myself drawn to any posts that have clear, unyellow, non flash photos. Mine could totally use some work too, but you are right, good photos make a world of difference!
Gettin’ there – such great stuff! And I totally agree with Sturgmom – everything looks better with awesome photography. Gotta work on that…
Oh, and thanks so much for adding me to your Nest Files! You are the best!
Happy Holidays!
By the way – your house is completely gorgeous, of course!!!
Danielle
I’ve visited about 50 of them…. want to do more and comment, but holy cow, there’s soooo many! I’m number 406 and when I posted it, I thought I would be way down on the list, but nope!
I’m totally honoured to have made your tumblr list, Nester! :) Loving all your other selections. Thanks for doing all the scouting work for me. LOL
Donna
I’ve working on it. I just got my post up last night. I’ve been working on my site re-design for almost four days now….I can’t wait to check them all out!
I am glad that I am not the only one. I think I’m making headway and then check the link # only to see that I am on #20. Lovely! I love what I’ve seen though and have already incorporated two additional ideas to my holiday decor. Thanks for hosting the tour!
Well, I almost peed my pants this morning when I saw you added me to your Nest Files!!!!!! Thank you!!! :)
I have been so inspired by you to shop my house and look at what I already have in new ways. That is how that framed fabric came about. http://queen-of-the-house.blogspot.com/2009/03/i-shopped-house.html I had a picture that I was so sick of. I thought, “I don’t have to live with this. I can make it better!” So I spray painted the frame, took the picture out and wrapped some fabric around the cardboard that was already in the frame. That feels so much better than spending money on some new art piece that I would probably be sick of in a few years anyway! I have learned so much from your blog. Thank you, Thank you!!!!
Blessings,
Sara
Nester,
I’m enjoying them a few at a time. Thanks again for bringing all these wonderful homes together. You are a fabulous hostess!
Peace.
Thanks so much for doing this, Nester!! Over 1,000 entries?! I’d say you rocked it! I’ve been having so much fun looking at all of them…although I’m alot slower than you – you got through half already? That’s tremendous. There’s some gorgeous pics in your nest files, I can’t believe I missed some of those blogs. Lmao at circus meets nascar, I legitimately fell off my chair when I saw me in there. Thank you so much, you made my 2009:) Have a great holiday with your family!
Thank you so much for including me in your favorites! This was my first link party and it was fun! So many inspiring ideas.
I’ve only gotten to about 60…at that point Hubs mentioned something about throwing the computer out the window if I don’t join the family – or something like that…
Thanks for putting my door in your tumblr! And for the kind comments about my ART! You are TOO KIND! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! I am trying to start a tumblr. This virtual world can be overwhelming.
-Trish
I am trying to get through a lot of them. But, wow, I’m amazed at how many there are! It’s fun to discover new blogs.
Thanks for ALL the fun and fun ideas around the blogger community!!!
So fun, so many, such a headache. My eyes can’t look at the screen a minute longer!!
Thank you, Thank you for hosting! It was lovely!
I am SLOWLY making my way through the tour…….really enjoying it but not sure I’ll be able to do them all so counting on you to show us some highlights and favorites over the next week!
You like me, you really like me. I have only had a blog for a little over a week and you picked mine as one of your favorites, I have peaked too soon, where will I go from here. Thank you, I am so honored. I have made it though about 300 so far and found so many wonderful idea. Thanks everyone in blog land for sharing. GOD BLESS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS.
I have read and left comments at 150+ blogs so far. Given that I also took three college finals this week I think I should get an award.
Maybe it could be winning a maid who would pick the faux snow out of the seagrass rug that my boy has gotten all over the floor because he does indeed pretend that the symphony of angels are green army men.
Repeat after me, Christmas is for children, Christmas is for children……..
Thank you for hosting the party! I’m still looking and oohing and aawhing. So much to see, so little time (or something like that)
bcp
Hoping you will leave them up for awhile….my goal is to see them all…and next year I will have MUCH better pictures…..You have been a great HOST….
Merry Christmas

Oh my. I don’t think I’ll be able to make it all the way through and keep my marriage in that happy place it needs to be. My two-year-old prefers Curious George to blogs. Go figure.
Confession: I started looking around in the 900′s because I felt like those blogs may not get much holiday cheer.
Thanks for hosting such a fun and inspirational tour of homes.
Oh my gravy, the list is so long I didn’t even try to see the end~let alone look at them all! What a successful party, I know you made Boo Mama proud.
I am amazed at the number of blogs I read that are readers of yours. We all have such great taste!
I watched the video and you remind me of Jenna Fischer from The Office. :) has anyone ever told you that before?
Your decorations were just beautiful!!! :)
I absolutely LOVED the tour, Miss Nester! My 3-year-old daughter was quite in the spirit, too. :o) She’s a future designer, be still my heart. She’s right now telling her almost-1-year-old sister to leave her artwork alone (a sticker mural on a kraft-papered wall near the kitchen)
“Mommy, Libby’s ruining my talent”.
From the mouths of babes. :o)
Happy weekend! Thanks again for hosting such a fun tour!
Wanted you let you know The Dallas Morning News has given your Christmas tour a shout out in today’s paper! That’s pretty good press!
I’m so behind but am enjoying visiting around…thanks for hosting this year. I just wrote my post today so couldn’t link in but am loving all the beautiful homes on the tour.
Merry Christmas…Joyce

I didn’t participate but I’ve been enjoying the tour. Many of you are so talented and I’ve gotten so inspired for next year.
Hey sweetie–
Last time I checked, there were 1085 links to your tour. What? Can you believe it?
Anyway, thanks for hosting a remarkable party. I especially loved looking around your house and Emily’s. And thanks for labeling my porch in your tumblr–I was tickled that you liked it. Just goes to show that sometimes simple is good.
I do look forward to getting back to plain old regular posts from you. I’ve missed my Nesting fix this week. But I hope that you and your boys are having a wonderful season.
Love you,
Richella
Wouldn’t even think of trying to go through them all.. I went by the old close my eyes and point trick.
LOL, I am enjoying them as well! I don’t know if I have ever posted before but I wanted to say HELLO and introduce myself! Love your blog and your “mistreatments”! I am probably only a quarter way through, but hopefully I’ll get through it! So much fun! :)
Kristi
I had every intention of particiapting. I even linked to it a couple weeks ago, I was that excited about it. And then life got in the way. Ho humbug. But there is so much fabulousness there already!
My favorite of your favorites would have to be the hanging snowflakes in the hallway. I will have to try that one next year especially since my theme next year will be “Snowballs, snowflakes & icicles”. Merry Christmas
It’ll take me until Christmas but I want to see it all! Thanks for hosting it!
