In this family, the laundry room is an often used room. Too often if you ask me. Not only do I go in and out of this room 629,448 times per day, but you can also see strait into this room from our front porch if I keep the laundry door open. And usually, the floor is so full of mud caked clothes that I have no choice but to keep the door open.

The goal was to accentuate the positive and draw the eye {eyes if you have two} up, up, up. I did this by semi staging the somewhat inaccessible shelves with my yard sale bird cage and baskets full of items that we only use periodically.

It’ll look even better once I bring that lamp downstairs from the closet and pop it in there.

Small improvements–like making this little forgotten but often used space welcoming, have a big affect on my mood.

What about you, do you have a forgotten, neglected space that could use some TLC?
