feather and egg in frame

There are a few styles of art that I can put up with in my home. I want the stuff on my walls to have a happy mood and be something I truly love and adore.

wall art

I’ve noticed that I seem to play it safe by using “neutral” wall art like mirrors, dishes, photos, iron work and architectural stuff like doors. These are all great but there is something about seeing real, hand drawn art that that you have chosen to display in your home that allows visitors to have a peek into who you are. That’s why I take my art so seriously.

4 egg prints

When I met Laryssa of L. Herbert Designs I was secretly thrilled. I loved her work and knew she would be my ticket out of the blah art sickness that I had. So, I asked her if she would paint something special for me, I mean us. She did.

A set of FOUR feather and egg watercolors called Nature’s Treasure by L. Herbert Designs! I’ve had them approximately 5 different places in my house already. I love them hung as a group matted in robin’s egg blue and highlighted by white frames. They are on the wall in my bedroom here–so calming and nature-y.

And, for a limited time, L. Herbert Designs is offering a set of 4 Nature’s Treasure prints to Nesting Place readers. These prints are high quality scans of an original set of four that she painted just for us. Each set is signed and numbered {she gave me number 1!} and there are only 49 more available. I know. There are a lot more than 49 of you out there. But we wanted to keep the number small enough that they would feel special. Because they are real art. And special they are.

L Herbert Egg and Feather

You too can have this set of wonderfulness in perfectly shaded blues and browns for only $28. Look how pretty they look framed up on a wall. They would look even better hung on a painted wall but you know, use what you have.

I have no idea how this woman can paint feathers so well.

Feather and Egg Print Nesting Place

I feel like I can reach out and touch this feather’s fluffiness. And I have to tell you that I met Laryssa at Blissdom and people, she is the epitome of style. Her classic put together wardrobe, spunky yet sophisticated hair styles–this girl has such a great balance of creativity and tradition. She is a true artist.

Back to the art, the prints look so classy in black frames.

L Herbert Designs

Place them all together. Love the impact of them placed together! They bring so much life to my living room.

Or use them separately around the house. What a great timeless, classy piece of art these are. They actually make me feel more grown up. Now if I can just decide where I like them the best. For an even better idea of what these look like up close and to purchase them, visit the L.Herbert Design Shop specially made just for us–click on the egg. I love knowing that there will only be 50 of us with these prints–that makes it even more special! They will be printed up, numbered and signed in the order they are well, ordered. Oh, and apparently with art the lower the number the more valuable the piece. Does this mean I’m rich?
