books

on my nightstand: (actually, on my kitchen counter, because my nightstand is too dark to get a decent photo…

All the Light We Cannot See: Caroline told me I would love this book, so one evening, Chad was going out near a book store and I begged him to buy it for me even though it was full price, we took out a loan and paid the seven million dollars for a full price book at a book store and it was worth EVERY PENNY! I’m so jealous of anyone who hasn’t read it yet, because they still get to experience the joy of reading it! LUCKY.

Money Making Mom: THIS is the book I’ve (we’ve) been waiting for Crystal to write, right?!

Big Magic: As much as I hate book jackets and am pretty sure Satan invented them, this one wins everything (but I still removed it because #annoying). Also, I can’t stop talking about this book to all of my writerly friends. If you write in anyway, read it.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet: I’m in the middle of this one, too bad I’m reading it after All the Light, because even though it’s good, I’m not as attached to it as I was the other–it takes place during the same time frame which makes for a good read after All the Light.

Soul Keeping: This book. YES. Why isn’t everyone in the world talking about this book?! This is another favorite of the year, I bought the hardcover version (trashed the dumb book jacket) and plan on re-reading it every year.

Simply Tuesday (re-reading) This book (written by my sister) feels like the BFF to Soul Keeping, they are wonderful companions to each other.
