Fully Bloomed

It grew back. Remember my agony, tears and big fight with my husband?

A bloom grown in the midst of imperfection is still beautiful. Maybe the most beautiful of all.

Tomorrow I’ll show you my vignette. Did you make one?

  1. Sometimes it just takes a good pruning or thinning out to make a flower garden beautiful again.

  2. Peonies must be super resilient! I’m so glad it grew back and you can fill your home with beautiful blooms. xo

  3. I made a vignette! It only took 15 min and everything was hidden away in the room I made it in and the next room. Ahhhh, so much better! Thank you for more inspiration!

  4. Sometimes things can just be simply…amazing.

  5. I have some peonies in my front yard that my mother in law gave me a few years ago. Almost every year my husband and I have issues over this plant! He mowed it down TWO times this year!!! So this last time I put 2 rocks by it so he would have to go around it! LoL. Well, it survived! And the buds are ready to open soon!! I cant wait!

  6. Peonies are my absolute favorite flower. So happy yours came back, I would have been livid if my husband pulled anything out of my beds.

Aww, what a beautiful flower! It made me tear up to see it after reading the back story. That’s after I stopped laughing, because I’ve had the same reaction to some of my husband’s “yard improvements”. I have three sons also, and often found myself saying, “I can’t have ANYTHING!” when they were younger:). Too funny, and thanks for being real.

  8. I love this post. And not only because I am missing two beds of irises that my husband tilled up last year, promising to replant new ones, which I knew then would never happen (and I was right). He totally doesn’t “get” anything that I want done around the house, and that has caused me so much frustration over the course of our marriage. So I shall sit and stare at the picture of that beautiful pink bloom and take hope. Maybe someday.
