I admit, I have absolutely no right whatsoever to call this project a craft.  But I want to join in with Kate’s Craft party today so let’s roll with it.  Like a craft, you do need some supplies:: Christmas lights and clear containers of any sort.

I used some bubbly outdoor lights with green wires for one “craft” and white wired lights for another.  Gather up any clear containers, a cloche, lanterns, apothecaries, jars, vases, whatever.

Next, get an extension cord and plug it into the wall.  Now plug your lights into that and stuff them into your clear vessel.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for burned down houses.  This is not something to keep on all the time but, it makes a pretty light for a party or for a few hours at a time.  The cord is pretty easy to hide since there are already wires everywhere just sneak it out the back and down to the outlet.

It’s close to impossible to get a decent photo of these. It looks like I’ve portioned out some pieces of the sun and placed them in my containers. But trust me, in real life it looks normal and not solar like at all.

You can take off your sunglasses now.  If you are new here and in the mood for some real Christmas Crafts…
