I’m putting this photo of our bedroom {in makeover process} at the top of this post because
because I don’t want to put this photo at the top of the post. This is the other side of my closet. My weakness. The top of my dresser. And I just cleaned it off about 36 hours ago. I have clothes putting away issues. But that’s another post. See that white thing on my dresser?
It’s where I store my jewelry. And tights? And knee socks? And belts? Jewelry everywhere is cringing at this site, praying to their makers that they won’t end up in my hands. I need good ideas on how to organize my jewels. Because I like jewels.

And I think you like jewels too. Erin from the Vintage Pearl thinks everyone would love more jewels. She’s a partner here at Nesting Place and thought since we all love jewels it would be a good time to sponsor a giveaway. Two lucky winners will win a $75 {!} gift card to the Vintage Pearl. And look at some of the lovelies you can buy. I think I would get the Vintage Love Birds.
Leave a comment and tell us which piece of lovely personalized jewelry you would get from The Vintage Pearl and if you have a great idea for my jewelry storage issues, tell me that too!

I love the wee rings with the names around the edges … so sweet. I keep my earings in icecube trays, minus the ice :) cheap and easy to pop in a drawer, one for gold, one for silver and one for other, best le
I do truly *need* a new personalized mommy necklace, because we are adopting two more children and a mommy can’t go around without all the names of her precious ones around her neck! I would probably pick the eclectic necklace. . . for me, the best thing for jewels is hanging on the wall from hooks or a mountable tie rack. If I love them on me, I usually enjoy seeing them hanging on the wall too!
LOVE the vintage pearl! I would choose the ‘cup of love’ necklace – simple and pretty. I keep my earrings in clear 28-day pill boxes – they are fab! It keeps them organized and I can easily pick out the pair I need – not so great for long danglies tho ;). I hang my bracelets on a mug tree – like Laura says, they look lovely off as well as on!
OMG…I want it all. If you click on the tab that says simple…I would literally welcome anything from that page with all my little birdies names on it. Pick me! Pick me!
Oh, I’ve been wanting a TVP necklace for ages! Right now I’m loving the layered circle of love necklace.
I love the “our family’s nest” necklace!
As far as organizing your jewelry, have I got an idea for you! I collect wall hooks, so I have a little wall in my boudoir (ha!) where I hang them all. Necklaces go on the wall hooks, while I got an ironwork decorative tree that holds all of my earrings. Maybe I need to blog about it so that you can see it. It keeps everything organized and within sight. I love it.
Layered Mama’s Nest or Itty Bitty Blossoms are my favorites. I dont’ know if I’m too late. Just got back from Charleston! Thanks.
I want her Chunky Daisy cuff so bad!
I wish I had a jewelry storage solution…I am planning to come back and find out what everyone else said! I would love a little charm with mine and my hubs initials on beside the love birds…they remind me of the guinea fowl that are always in pairs down here in South Africa! Schweet!
I would love the Dainty Drops with my name on birthstone. I am an only girl and have never gotten into birthstones, but the simplicity of the necklace is quite lovely. Also, my jewelry is organized in a plastic organizer box, little compartments much like a tackle box. I have two containers to hold my earrings, and then I use the larger compartments for my bracelets.
I am absolutely in love with the vintage love birds! (Actually, I love pretty much anything jewelry. or vintage. or with birds.) Also, my mother in law bought me a large hanging photo frame jewelry box last year for Christmas and I LOVE it! It holds 9 pictures on the front and most of (many) necklaces, bracelets, and rings. It’s fabulous!
I really need a mommy necklace that has ALL my kids names on it now that we have 5 kids. We adopted 2 girls from Guatemala. Love all her stuff! As for my jewels. I have alot of different cool wooden boxes in diff. shapes and sizes to store mine in. Earrings in 1, Bracelets in another, and my necklaces have their own too.
So hard to narrow it down, but I really love the layered flower!
Would love the tiny tag necklace!!! It’s my favorite!
I use several tie/belt hangers for my necklaces and bracelets… I can see everything and nothing gets tangled up.
I LOVE the vintage silver pendant. And the mama’s nest. And the vintage love birds! How to even decide???
I would love the vintage love birds, but I also would love to get the names on a ring with my children’s names. But I am in LOVE with the vintage birds **swoon…
My jewelery is organized in our Ikea wardrobe on a slid out shelf that has dividers, it works perfectly
One of the best things I’ve ever done is to hang one of those cloth covered boards with the criss-crossed ribbon to hold pictures and cards in my closet for jewelry. I hang all my earrings on it and they are so easy to get to. Below it is a tie rack that I use for necklaces and bracelets.
Thank you for all your ideas for making your home beautiful! My daughter showed me your blog about a year ago and I have been reading it ever since.
I would love the eclectic necklace with all our fmaily names. Thanks for sharing your 31 ideas to a less messy nest. I am following right along!
I would get the vintage silver pendants necklace or the vintage lovebirds. Too cute! Oh, and I have an awesome jewelry tower type of thing from pottery barn teen that looks great on my dresser. I love it! It is kind of shabby chic looking and so pretty!
Since I’m waaaaay down on the list of comments you probably have all the advice that you need, BUT, I keep my jewelry organized on a tie rack (because it has a ton of hooks in a small space). I also use a bulletin board with cute (chunky) thumbtacks for my necklaces/bracelets. The floor of my closet? Not so much on the tidy scale. :)
LOVE the Vintage pearl goodies. I am in love with the “all around my fused heart” and the “mother of pearl”. Thanks for offering such a wonderful giveaway!
I have a major thing for fun funky jewellery so I was recently faced with this “issue”! I use clear plastic tackle boxes, yes like for fishing, just one layer ones you can find at Walmart. They are inexpensive and keep things separate and tangle free. I just slide them under my dresser and because I can see through it’s super easy to grab whatever I need, earrings, bracelets anything with a quick glance then slide it back under my dresser. It’s quick, easy, efficient and cost effective! I have twin 7 year old daughters and would love to have something personalized with their initials M&M with a little black and white pic would be priceless! Thanks!
I love the chunky bracelet cuff! The baby spoons aren’t jewelry…but those are too cute!
I like to organize my necklaces on big hooks…keeps them in sight, but untangled.
I would love the eclectic necklace with our names on it!!! I delivered and lost our pre-term son a few weeks ago and I would love something with both of my boys names on it. Thank you so much for doing this giveaway!!!
I like the mama’s nest necklace. I have 4 little cuties in my nest and would love to wear their names around my neck!
I use embroidery floss boxes to store my jewelry. Each piece gets a compartment. I can see everything at a glance, and no tangles.
LOVE Vintage Pearl! Thanks for the awesome giveaway.
Hmm…dainty drops. Names on a chain. Dainty drops. Names on a chain. Love them both!
Pick me!
I don’t like to have to mess with really putting away my jewelry :) so I have vintage mug hooks the kind that were meant to sit on the counter, vintage compote and candy dishes, crystal ones minus the lids and a small bag with many clear pockets that I picked up at a yard sale for .50 cents. I really like to use these methods because I can see my stuff at a glance and it makes putting it away really easy. I also acts as an assesory on my dresser and keeps everything neat and contained.
Love the Vintage Pearl giveaway. Everything is so pretty. Really like the double drop pearl earings and the silver vintage necklace.
Thanks for a great seris.
:) Michelle
I would really like the silver vintage necklace, but there are so many that I like it’s hard to choose.
Thanks!!
Love the vintage lovebirds necklace. Atually, I love everything at the VIntage Pearl!
I love it all! Is that an appropriate answer? And I don’t know if they still sell them, but I use a jewelry box from JC Penney’s. It hangs on the wall and the front is a photo collage that holds 9 (or is it 12?) 4×6 photos… or decorative paper… or whatever… The inside has places for earings, hooks for necklaces, a bar to hold all of your bracelets, a place for rings, and a pocket for misc. :)
Pick me pick me! *lol*
I would love, love, LOVE the dainty drops necklace with all 4 of my kids names/stones. Especially since I can’t find a mothers’ ring that I like or can afford. (In fact, if I don’t win this, I may ask for it for Christmas!) But I hope, I hope, I hope I win it!!! :)
I love The Vintage Pearl. They have so many wonderful items. My favorite though is the vintage silver pendants necklace. Thanks for the oppurtunity to win this great giveaway!
would -heart- a necklace….i’ve been married less than 2 years and have been looking at similar styles of necklaces to find something to have with “our” initials. so sweet and fun…off to check the website! thanks for the opportunity! :)
I love the eternity heart! I store my jewelry in a cigar box that has a tray. Necklaces on top, earrings and bracelets on the bottom. However, I don’t have much jewelry and the stuff I do have is delicate, not chunky, (I need a jewelry update!) so this would not work for most people.
I keep my earrings (and other items) in a clear bead-storage box! I love the one with the kids’ names and the half-moon with “I love you to the moon and back”!
Well, since there are already over 1000 comments, I don’t know if you will see this one…
My friend told me I should tell you about the jewelry organizer I just made: http://toaprettylife.blogspot.com/2010/10/jewelry-organiser.html
I’ve only had it for a couple of days, and already I love it. I love being able to see all my necklaces and earrings. I also have a couple of small jewelry boxes (which need organizing) to hold my rings, post earrings, and bracelets.
As for the giveaway, I love the vintage silver pendants necklace. And everything else ;-)
I’m a new subscriber and am enjoying very much reading your blog and seeing your great ideas. i’m sorry to say that i don’t have any good ideas for storing jewelry :( But i did go over to The Vintage Pearl and fell in love with SO many of the creations!! I think my first purchase would be the Dainty Drops necklace. I like it because it’s simple yet beautiful and can be added to :)
I’d get the vintage lovebirds necklace! Love it!
For my jewelry I have fabric covered cork boards that I stick pins in and hang my jewelry on them. It works great and looks pretty on the wall too!
I would HAVE to get the vintage love birds. Too cute!!
My middle name is Larkin. I go by JennyLark. I think that is why I love a bird theme! I would like the vintage love birds or the layered mamas nest or the mama bird. One of my daughters is named Eden. I loved seeing that spoon that said Eden Elise – How fun!
I made an 8×10 frame for my girl friend who has a lot of dangle earrings. I took the glass out of the frame and hot glued small mesh screen to the frame where the glass would normally rest. I then glued a pretty piece of scrapbook paper (fabric would also work) onto the back of the frame with a thick piece of cardboard for support. This leaves a small space between the screen and the paper for the earring back to hang when looped through the screen.
That sweet little hammered star!
I would love a necklace with my children’s names on it!
I love the circle of love necklace!
Be Still. Still my fave.
So many pretty things…I’d pick the hope bracelet for my girlfriend who is battling cancer. Thanks for the chance to win!
The Vintage Silver Pendant is beautiful. I love it! I have the same problem with my jewelry. I have a jewelry box, but it doesn’t suite my jewelry and everything ends up all mixed up.
I need a mommy necklace…love the cup f love.
To store my necklaces…I took an old 11×14 frame, painted and distressed it. Then took some foam core cut to the size of the frame opening, covered it with burlap and poked some hooks through it to hang the necklaces on. Love it!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you are imperfect and allow the rest of us to be imperfect as well. :) I would have to order the “moon” necklace. We have read that book to our children every night since they were born, and at two years old, they have it memorized, word for word. They now get so excited when they see the moon at night and when we say “I love you” – they reply “all the way to the Moon and BACK!” It would be an amazing keepsake to remember those little moments for the rest of my life – especially when they are teenagers and don’t want us to read to them (or do anything with them!) anymore. :( What an amazing gift and giveaway! Thanks!
Thanks for the great pics, I’m sure you just messed it up for the photos LOL No way you could ever be that messy! My favorite is probably a flower and a circle necklace for my son and daughter :)
I just LOVE your posts, it lets me know that I’m not “alone” after all!
I would love to get the “dainty drops”, then when they’re older they can be passed on to my girls as their first piece of jewelry! Life is so short, and I’ve witnessed that to many times, so I try to keep things that my girls will ALWAYS be reminded of just how much I LOVE(D) them! They keep me strong on the days that I’m just not!
But I do want to say, that ALL that the Vintage Pearl has to offer are just marvelous!! Thanks for sharing!
