  1. Nester, thanks for posting these recent “save $” sites. I love the article about how the family bought their home w/ cash. I love decorating and I did it on a credit card for years – and it’s so much better (and more fun and more creative!) doing it on a budget!

  2. Shut the front door! Reupholstering the couch took one milllllion years! Good for them. I would have thrown my hands up and went to Home Goods!

  3. Love the video!!! I want the pillows at the end. The girl would be for me and since my hubby is clean shaven, head and face, his pillow would have nothing on it. But…the other pillow is perfect for my dad! Love it!!!

  4. Great post! I especially love the alphabet wall!

  5. Dear Nester Smith,

You made my day. In fact, it might be more appropriate to say that you (in)couraged me. :)

    Cheesily but very sincerely,

    Melissa

  7. I need more rooms! I need more rooms! Too many cute ideas and not enough rooms! If I ever have a dedicated home school room, I’d love to do that alphabet wall. Too cute.

  8. after watching that re-upholstering video, I can’t believe it doesn’t cost $27,000. to have it done!

    • Oh, I KNOW it! They should make us pay for it in gold and body parts, the work they put into it! BUT, was it not a GLORIOUS result? One that is perfectly unique and, the couple took a course and did it all together!

  9. Thank you so much for finding such great articles and creativity and then sharing it with us!!
