Elements of a Working Office :: A Giveaway

1. Comfy place to rest your bum

2. Somewhat of a method to organize your thoughts. I’ve got 3 clip boards, each houses a different, vital part of Nesting Place like what my favorite colors are and my scribbling of little nests and eggs, and of course my real identity as an 80 year old bald man residing in Canada.  Look for me at Blissdom, mkay?

3. A place to hide, I mean organize paper–this is where I try to organize tax stuff, bills, school stuff, basically the junk I don’t want to see {this great piece is from Hobby Lobby, years ago}

4. A place to temporarily write stuff –not a tiny calendar, not a note pad, I like something big like this old chalkboard

5. A place to show off cute, frivilous things that make me feel good {this was supposed to be a link to an empty frame tutorial–never NOT be able to find something you wrote about on your own blog, hate me, I can’t find it}

6. Something meaningful and pretty

There are arguably lots more things every good office should have–a window, a door to shut out the chaos, a cleared off space to work, a place to sit your iced coffee, I could go on, but I was too lazy to take a photo of those today.  Mostly because today is one of those days where you get to win something meaningful and also pretty for your own self–for any room in your house.

These Grace tiles were created by a REAL artist, S.D.G Artistry, exclusivly for DaySpring.  Look, a dove.

You can put them in your office but you can also hang them on a curtain rod or hang them with little ribbons anywhere on your wall.  Mine is going back in the office but what a sweet idea.

They have all sorts of different tiles to choose from and they offer the rod and knob set as well.

Two of you lucky lucky people will win a $50 gift certificate to use at DaySpring just for being you and leaving a comment–you can use it towards a tile set or get a jump start on next year and get some clearance Christmas shopping done, {shhh, this bird is only $1.75 and is a great tassel topper!}, or even a customized sign.

Leave a comment to enter to win!  Contest closes Thursday at midnight. {US and Canada only please}

Special thanks to DaySpring for helping connect people with the Heart of God with messages of hope and encouragement for our home, and for sponsoring this post.

    I read this blog all the time, but this is the first comment I’ve left (shame on me!)
    I have six kids, and to relax one of the things I enjoy is this blog with my feet up and a hot cappuccino. :)
    Thanks for all your inspiring posts, I constantly find myself raising an eyebrow and thinking, “hmm, that could work (here) or (here) in my home.” And off I go to try it. Such fun.

    I love the way the different words of meaning are incorporated into the decor. At any part of the day you can stop what your doing and just meditate on the qualities and soon they will be a part of your life if they weren’t already.

I have a passion for decorating, but being a SAHM of four kids, my budget is very limited. if my husband allowed it, i would redecorate twice a year.
